Daily maintenance of screw pumps should be performed in cycles to ensure efficient operation and extend service life. Daily, check the gearbox oil level (keeping the oil level gauge centered), listen for abnormal noise and vibration, and observe for mechanical seal leakage (a small, stable leak is permissible). Weekly, perform a short-run test on pumps that have been out of service for more than a week and check the condition of pipeline valves. Quarterly, tighten the foundation bolts and change the gearbox oil (first clean with light oil, then add the specified gear oil to the center line of the oil level gauge). Annual maintenance includes checking the coupling alignment and comparing performance parameters such as flow rate and pressure (if there is a significant drop, disassembly and repair are required). The lubrication system requires regular oil replenishment and replacement: bearings should be replenished with #3 lithium-based grease monthly; new pumps should have their gear oil changed after 250 hours, and then every 1000 hours thereafter; mechanical seal oil should be changed every six months, and the oil level should be kept centered at the inspection hole level daily.
